Tweetfeel Moi!

28 Jun

What do tweeple think about worldcup2010? Check out Tweetfeel twitter sentiment here.

Wow-weee! I stumbled on this cool twitter application! TwitterFeel allows you, yes you, to view how people feel about certain topics or updates in twitter. It can be either POSITIVE 🙂 or NEGATIVE 😦 depending on the key words or phrases tweeted by tweeples. All you have to do is/are:

  1. Type in certain issues/topics/brands/products/people and press ‘enter’ or click ‘search’. (I can’t help but searched for ‘WORLDCUP2010’ after England’s 1-4 defeat to Germany).
  2. Seconds after, you’ll see the most recent real-time updates of what you’ve typed in from tweeples worldwide. (Beware, you might come across languages alien to you!)
  3. What you impossibly can’t ignore are the two SMILEY icons just beneath the search box. (With puppy-eyed looks, I swear I did see them did that!)
  4. The GREEN smiley computer-counts positive updates; while the RED smiley computer-counts negative ones! (The tweetfeel battle kicks off.)
  5. Well, these smileys are then accumulated to get a percentage reflecting the overall feelings of people in regard of the topic you tweetfeel-searched. (Voila, tweetfeel completed.)

Tweetfeel may be quite repetitive for some. Heck, I found it awesome though! Oh yeah, if you felt like tweeting your own or other’s twitter username(s) like @ElvieNancie and wanting to know if you’re tweeting some positive or negative updates, scratch that thought out. You know what I mean, hehe. We can’t help being soi-disant and vain sometimes. Aharks!

The 2004-2010

23 Jun

Feel compelled to post this. Some may say we’ve been sailing through our degree for 6 long ohmigosh years. We sail through 6 amazing years. Yes, we made it! (Haha, lame pun lame lah!)

Oh the cat fights, the dramas, the kuda-ness, the tragic-ness, the childishness — we grew up through ’em all.

I’d say, I grew up with my beloved 26 Cohort 3 friends and I regret neither a day nor a week nor a year of those 6 years it took to finally complete our degree.

I won’t say it’s a goodbye for us Cohort 3. Rather it’s a thank you for the dearest wonderful friends I ever have and will always be dear to me. *Sob sob*

Paris, Un Jour!

22 Jun

Hey, remember Chuck season 3 episode 13?? Oh gosh, fans had been dying to finally witness Chuck and Sarah’s declaration kiss!

And their unofficial honeymoon  à Paris overlooking Le Tour Eiffel! Aww, that’s exactly my dream honeymoon too! *hint*

In case you too wanna relive that precious moment, which is a favourite episode of many, I bet, here’s the easiest link to it.

It feels just like yesterday when Chuck asked Sarah THE QUESTION that almost blew Chuck off his mind.

“Sarah, do you love me?

(It takes two to tango, alright?)

“Yes, I felt for you since a long time ago.”

P/s Off the record, it’s just me and my sometimes-romantic nature. Haha.

Miss Earth Sabah 2010 (Part II)

20 Jun

GREEN is the new pink! MES 2010-Sabahan Bloggers Night made me realized so.

Taglined ‘Beauties Nurturing Nature’, Miss Earth Sabah 2010 definitely draws public attention, including us, bloggers. If not for Mr Dinoza Mahruf, I wouldn’t have the opportunity to see what the beauties had in store, for being the 12 ambassadresses of green earth. Win or no win, they’re there for a CHANGE.

Well, the three of us friends (forever) Jess and Serra and I lobbied for the exclusive 4 complimentary dinner with the MES 2010 beauties at The Roof Restaurant, Imperial Hotel, Kota Kinabalu on June 15th 2010. Had been hovering around and stalking the Miss Earth Sabah 2010 Official Page since Day 1 of the event, to be truthful (yet unsurprisingly). Who wouldn’t anyway, aite? Hehe.

Mr Dinoza and the three of us bloggers, Serra, Jess and I.

I managed to have a chat with one finalist, May Salitah Naru-Kiob. Tell you, she’s one unique and bubbly personality. I did my homework, really. Hehe. The night before, I had been ‘stalking’ her FB page, of all the other finalists. Minus the hoo haas (which complemented mine!) she has got an array of ideas to share. Love how she naturally shared her ideas with ease, and with passion! The Q I asked was the cliche one: ‘If you were crowned Miss Earth Sabah 2010, what cause/change would you like to bring forward in the state?’

Though might be cliche for some, May pulled no punches to give a shot in NOT trying too hard! I would have thought being a student in an international affair course, May would be giving all those bombastic answers! She didn’t. And deep down inside (konon la, haha!) I thought “Oh wow, she’ll be the Miss Earth Sabah 2010!” Her little ways of nurturing small kids to love the environment are practical and achievable. The best way to start a little something is from home (btw, turns out, she wins the title as I’m typing this!). Too bad I didn’t go and paparazzi-ed her!

The other finalists are unique and learned in their own way too. Couldn’t agree more!

Another learned and lovely finalist, Lydia

Us with Miss Earth Malaysia 2009, Mandy Nandu

Quoted May Salitah as saying that Mandy is so high on top, yet so down to earth. Really, she is utterly nice.

The Sabahan Bloggers Night with the MES 2010 finalists was a chance I would trash away had it not been for Jess and Serra who ‘coaxed’ me to try my luck. Been lucky to get to know the finalists and to share some awakening ideas and perspectives on the environmental issues world over.  Kudos for the organizers and all those who made it possible for a change in breathing new life to mother earth through MES 2010. She deserves it!

And for you readers out there, be a CHANGE for mother earth!

Blog Award

18 Jun

(Ucap terima kasih & letakkan link orang yang memberi award ini.)

Merci beaucoup my lovely friend, Dierdre Theseira for tagging me for this blogger award. Siou no dedz, it’s been a month and I just so happen to stumble upon this. Hehe!

(Nyatakan 7 perkara tentang diri anda.)

Here’s the significant (awesome) 7 things about me:

1. I tend to melatah when I’m startled by something, when something falls or etc. Unsure of the English word for it. Well, you don’t want to know the string of words I let loose though!

2. I’m a phobic in getting my whole head submerged in deep water, especially the thought that I’ll go deaf if water seeps through my ears!

3. I’ve been my heaviest with 63 kilos. Now, while writing this, I weigh 63 kilos as well. Haha.

4. I’m visually impaired without any glasses or contact lenses since Primary 2. Now I wear -8.50/9.50 glasses. Tinggi kan degree? Haha.

5. I’m quite a hopeless romantic soul. Can’t explain. My blog features can, though!

6. I hate clipping my finger and toe nails! And I polish my toe nails layer by layer when the colours wear off, without even bothering to apply nail polish remover.

7. I simply love earrings. I guess wearing none tone down my facial features. Haha. Vain!

(Pass kepada 15 orang award ni)

My friends are awesome! And I’m tagging 15* of my blogger friends for this award 🙂

1. Jess

2. Pah

5. Zick

Miss Earth Sabah 2010

15 Jun

Had I contemplated and decided not to try my luck with the complimentary offer for a dinner with the 12 finalists of Miss Earth Sabah 2010, I would have missed the chance to meet and get to dig deep into what the beauties had to say. I’m no ardent environmentalist, yet I’m one of those who think Mother Nature deserves to be treated nice.

The ever gorgeous and down-to-earth Miss Earth Malaysia 2009 Mandy Nandu was also present. “High on top, yet so down-to-earth”.  Talked with a few of the finalists, and they were very much learned on the environment issues prevailing Sabah. I’ve so much to blog about Miss Earth Sabah 2010. By the way, the green eco bag is awesome and fashionable!

Will blog about the night with the finalists in my upcoming post; their excitements, their hopes, their ambitious plans to help Mother Nature, their inspiring spirit and above all their love for Mother Nature.
